This was a well planned and
This was a well planned and executed conference. So many good choices to participate in. My family and friends paid my way to get there, it was better than anticipated. I look forward to the Session details so I can share with my classmates. I am sold on the importance of monitoring and evaluation of projects to document activities.
This was phenomenal. I have
This was phenomenal. I have never been or witness any conference of this type. Well planned and delivered.I am due to give a presentation at my church on October 3rd. Hope I get those presentations soon.
Thank you for an excellent
Thank you for an excellent conference in a marvellous setting - Geneva. I am anxiously awaiting the transcripts and presentations from the Alcohol track so that I can share with the many women in the Woman's Christian Temperance Union right across Africa. Staff and workers throughout the Adventist Health System in East Central Africa are also eagerly awaiting all the information from the conference. Blessings and thank you. Joy Butler

That conference was really good....I really need to hear and read those presentations again to be able to relay the exact message to my local church; and continue the work we have begun. I look forward to the audio and other presentations through this website. I hope it will be soon.

I am yet to witness a better conferece of its kind in terms of planning and execution. There was a divine hand in the whole matter. Already our congregations in Kaduna are eagerly awaiting presentations/coachings we have scheduled based on the knowledge from the Conference.
This idea is one precious gift to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
A very impressive Conference
A very impressive Conference and very motivating. Maureen and I are not in our local Church's Health Dept, but when plans are discussed, I shall try to have positive input.
We have drawn up a concept
We have drawn up a concept note on how we would like to implement the goals of the Conference by Mobilizing Health Volunteers in the SDA Church in Zimbabwe to deal with risk factors of Non Communicable Diseases such as, nutrition, smoking, drinking, lack of physcial activities. World Health Organization in Zimbabwe indicates that cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, various cancers, substance abuse, disorders, hypertension have become a major Public Health Concern.
We believe training of our Church in dealing with the risk factors will arouse the interest of our Health Ministry focus and the church will in turn train communities around them. We will need to collaborate with other players like the Ministry of Health, (WHO) Zimbabwe, SDA institutions abroad, other conference participants who have expertise in these areas.
Our strategy in the community will be to work with families rather than individuals.
We would intentionally involve youths as well in this work. We will mainstream HIV/AIDS in all our community trainings because we operate within that context.
We are looking at ways to mobilise resources for this venture, if anyone has ideas on this we would be glad to hear from them.
This was a great Conference of my life and I pray that we will have great outcome of this Conference in Zimbabwe through this project.
I am blessed to be in the
I am blessed to be in the conference, what I learned in the conference has opened my vision to new direction of my life, and it is my prayer that by the grace of God as I try to share the knowledge with many in Sudan (South) who did not have priviladge of getting such a message, I hope I can be a blessing to them too. I need your support in Prayer.
The seminars and tracks
The seminars and tracks presented by the various departments was a delight. Much learning.
I am planning to promote the Healthy Kids program in malls, presented in the Children's Ministries track to help children in the community.
I have also been impressed to assist in the education of the church regarding women and mental illnesses.
The sessions and workshops
The sessions and workshops were not only informative but also very inspiring. As a Conference Health Department leader in Romania, I'm planning to promote the idea of using the local church buildings as public health centers during the week days.
